Hairstyle ~ Lace Headband Ladder Braid

7:12 PM

Just a little bit ago, I combined a few tricks I learned on my sister's hair and put this hairstyle together. I am calling it the lace headband ladder braid and you will see why.

I began by parting her hair on the left side. Close to the hair line, I started with a lace braid. A lace braid means you only pick up hair on one side. I am picking up hair closest to her face. After you do one stitch, you are going to drop a small piece from the third strand of your braid. This is called a feather braid. Continue this as far as you would like. I did this to about 7 or 8 stitches.

Once the first braid is complete go back 2 to 3 inches away from the first braid and pick up a one inch section and braid one stitch and then add in the pieces left out from the first braid (lace braiding again).

This is where the ladder part in the name comes in. After you have both your braid connected and complete I pinned the braids under her beanie. There are lots of variations you can do. I would love to see your picture if you recreate this or you can leave a comment if you have any questions.
